Korea has national clothing-size standards (KS K 0050 for men and KS K 0051 for women, last revised in September 2025), but shops treat them as a reference and use their own charts. The same label can mean different sizes at different brands, so compare your measurements in cm with the seller’s chart.
Women’s sizes 44, 55, 66, 77 and 88 are older labels that reportedly come from a 1981 government table. Nike Korea uses its own numbers: for tops, a women’s US M (8/10) is a Korean 90. Shoes are sized in mm: at Nike, a women’s US 8 is 250 mm.
One Korean number can mean different bodies. Korean 85 is a chest of 71.4–80.0 cm in Nike Korea’s men’s tops chart and 81–86 cm at Eurobox. Use the seller’s own chart, and don’t carry a number from one brand to another.
Find your size
Pick the size you wear at home. We match it in every chart on this page.
Korean shops use at least two kinds of women’s numbers: the older 44 to 88 labels (with bracket numbers 85 to 105 in some charts), and brand charts such as Nike Korea’s 75 to 105. They do not match each other, so use the section that names your seller’s system.
Women’s 44–88 sizes
Read across from your size (44 to 88); the second table gives the bust and waist. No chart we found pairs these sizes with US or EU sizes, so there is no US column.

Body bust and waist from Eurobox’s chart; the cm values are as Eurobox prints them and can differ from the inches by up to 0.5 cm.
According to Korean press reports, the numbers come from a 1981 government table: 55 was set from a woman 155 cm tall with an 85 cm bust, and each step added 5 cm of height and 3 cm of bust. Shops today use their own measurements, and they differ from that table. Eurobox’s 55, for example, has a bust of 81 cm, not 85.

Children’s clothing sizes
Korean children’s sizes end in 호 (ho). Korean sources give different ages for the same height, so choose by the child’s height and treat the age as a guide only. The first table is one Korean price-comparison site’s 2012 chart, so check it against the seller’s own.

Shoe sizes
Korean shoe sizes are numbers in mm, such as 250. At Nike the number is a size label, not a foot length: the foot length Nike prints for a 250 shoe is 24.6 cm, and for a 300 shoe 28.7 cm. Nike’s men’s and women’s charts also give the same shoe different mm (a men’s US 7 and a women’s US 8.5 are 250 mm in the men’s chart and 255 mm in the women’s), so use the table for the shoe’s own line. Compare your foot length with the seller’s chart.
Women’s shoes
Read across from the Korean mm size or from your US, UK or EU size; the second table gives the foot length Nike prints for each size.

Bra sizes
The Korean band number is the underbust in cm rounded to 5, so it equals the EU band. Korean and Japanese cup letters are the same scale. In the charts we read (Vivien for Korea, Wacoal for Japan) there is no “DD”: after D comes E. Read the band in the first table and the cup in the third.

Korean cup letters as Wacoal Japan defines them (bust minus underbust), against the Western letter Triumph gives for the same bust at band 70; a comparison of two brands, not a printed pairing.
Quick answers
What is a Korean 55 in UK and Italian sizes? At Eurobox, 55 is a UK 8 and an Italian 38/40, with a bust of 81 cm. Other brands may differ.
What is a women’s US 8 top in Korea? A Korean 90 (letter L) at Nike Korea, which pairs it with US M (8/10), UK 12/14 and EU 40/42.
What is a men’s US M top in Korea? A Korean 100 (letter L) at Nike Korea. Nike’s Korean letter is one above its US letter.
What is a women’s US 8 shoe in Korea? 250 mm in Nike’s women’s chart, which is UK 5.5 and EU 39.
What is a men’s US 9 shoe in Korea? 270 mm in Nike’s men’s chart, which is UK 8 and EU 42.5.
What is a Korean 70B bra in the US? Band 70 is a US 32 (Triumph). Korean cup B matches Western cup A for the same measurement, so a 70B is about a 32A.

Tips for ordering from Korean stores
Free size is common. On Musinsa, a 2022 analysis found 26.6% of women’s items and 2.3% of men’s items in free size. Check the listed measurements instead of assuming one size fits all.
Allow about 2 cm. Musinsa says its listed measurements can be off by about 2 cm, depending on how they are taken.
Trousers sit at the hip bone. Musinsa’s recommended trouser size assumes the belt is worn just above the hip bone, not at the natural waist.
The same number differs by brand. Korean 85 is a chest of 71.4–80.0 cm at Nike Korea and 81–86 cm at Eurobox. Use the listing’s own chart.
Children: go by height. One Korean shop’s 2011 notice says imported brands run about a size smaller than Korean sizes and that makers use their own specifications. Compare the child’s height with the seller’s chart.
