Flea Markets in Canada: The Curated List
The Great White North is home to some of the most renowned antique shows in the world. While Wayfair Canada might offer convenience for modern furniture, it lacks the soul of a vintage find. Ontario, in particular, is a powerhouse for collectors, with antique malls stretching across the province, but gems exist from Manitoba to British Columbia.
Below, we break down the specific markets you need to visit, stripping away the closed locations and focusing on where the active vendors are.

Waterford Antique Flea Market
Located in the village of Waterford, Ontario, this is a serious destination for collectors. The market spans two floors and 16,000 square feet, hosting 75 vendors. It is regularly voted the best antique market in the area for good reason: the inventory is vast.
You will find retro toys, vintage instruments, furnishings, and an endless array of bric a-brac. Since 1999, it has been a staple for the community.
- The Details: Regular hours are Wednesday to Friday (10 AM – 4 PM) and weekends (10 AM – 5 PM).
- Pro Tip: If you are planning a holiday visit, note that they are closed on Tuesdays (including Dec 23, 2025). However, they are open for special holiday hours on Dec 24 and Dec 26 from 10 AM to 3 PM.
St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market
(Editor’s Note: The previously listed Whole Foods at Yonge & Sheppard permanently closed in August 2025. We have replaced it with a top-tier authentic market recommendation.)
If you are in Ontario and want a massive market experience, skip the malls and head to St. Jacobs. It is Canada’s largest year round farmers’ market and a flea market hybrid. While famous for food, the peddlers’ village area is a goldmine for crafts, imported goods, and unique finds.
Located near Waterloo, it operates year round on Thursdays and Saturdays. It is a bustling hub that rivals the best flea markets in the Netherlands or Germany for sheer variety and energy.
Mulvey Flea Market
For those in Manitoba, Mulvey Market is the undisputed king of indoor picking. Located in the South Osborne Xchange building in Winnipeg (421 Mulvey Ave E), this is the province’s largest indoor year round weekend market.
With over 12,000 square feet of space and 40 to 50 vendors, it’s the place to hunt for vintage jewelry, electronics, and rare toys without braving the Winnipeg winter cold. It operates every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Jean Talon Market
Montreal’s Jean Talon Market is officially one of the largest open air markets in North America. Established in 1933, it anchors the Little Italy neighborhood with a mix of fresh produce and artisanal products.
While primarily a food market, the surrounding boutiques and seasonal stalls offer plenty of non food treasures. Unlike many flea markets that shut down mid week, Jean Talon is a daily operation. For December 2025, they are open 8 AM to 6 PM (including Dec 23), making it a perfect spot for last minute holiday items before they close for Christmas Day.
Marché Atwater Market
Another Montreal classic, Atwater Market is famous for its Art Deco architecture and high-quality vendors. Established in 1933, it offers a more curated experience than your typical dusty flea market.
It is an ideal spot to find unique party outfits or artisanal crafts alongside your gourmet cheese. For the 2025 holiday season, Atwater is open Dec 22-23 from 9 AM to 6 PM and Dec 24 from 9 AM to 5 PM. It remains a favorite for locals who want quality over quantity.
One Of A Kind Antique Mall
This is the heavyweight champion of Canadian antique malls. Located in Woodstock, Ontario, the One Of A Kind Antique Mall is the largest indoor facility of its type in Canada. It occupies a staggering 80,000 square feet across three floors.
Current 2025 counts put the vendor list at over 500, with some reports citing up to 600 distinct booths. If you can’t find it here, it probably doesn’t exist. From mid century modern furniture to obscure collectibles, you need to allocate at least half a day to properly explore this massive venue.
Rutland Flea Market
Correction: Previous guides may have listed this as an Ontario market. That is incorrect.
The Rutland Flea Market is a staple of Kelowna, British Columbia. It takes place at the Rutland Centennial Hall (215 Shepherd Road). It is a classic community market held every Sunday.
For December 2025, the market operates indoors from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It features a kitchen serving breakfast, making it a cozy Sunday morning ritual. Whether you are looking for vintage memorabilia or just want to chat with local collectors, this is the best spot in the Okanagan Valley to spend your Sunday morning.
