eBay Italy: How to Buy and Sell From Abroad

eBay Italy (ebay.it) is the Italian version of the eBay marketplace, where people and businesses sell new and used items. You can buy anything from clothes and electronics to home goods and vehicles. Before ordering from abroad, check the seller’s return terms and what shipping, customs and taxes will cost to your country.

• Create an account on eBay Italy.
• Search for the item you want and read the listing.
• Before you buy, read the seller’s return terms and customer service information.

Selling on eBay Italy

• Sign up for an eBay Italy account.
• Create a seller profile and upload photos of your items.
• Set the price, the shipping cost and how long the listing runs.
• Ship the item once it sells. The buyer can leave feedback that other users see.

What you can buy on eBay Italy

• Apparel: designer and everyday clothing.
• Home goods: furniture and decorative items.
• Electronics: phones, laptops, tablets, televisions, home theater and car audio equipment.
• Vehicles: cars, trucks, ATVs and more.
• Other categories, such as jewelry and cosmetics.

Shipping, customs and returns

International shipping cost depends on the size and weight of the parcel and on the seller’s settings. Check the delivery cost on the listing before you pay.

Customs charges and taxes depend on your country’s import rules, so look them up before you order. Some items may be restricted from import.

Return terms differ from seller to seller. In general, items must be unused and undamaged to be refunded. Read the terms on the listing before you buy, especially for clothing.

The main risk when buying from abroad is delivery: shipping can be slow and parcels can get lost. If you need an expensive item quickly, compare other stores.
